WALTER MIYA - President of Operations and Director of Tours

Walter Miya is President of Operations and Director of Tours. Walter has been working in the tourism industry in Tanziania for 10 years. He began work as an Assistant Guide for a private company. During his time with this company he worked his way up and became a Guide for safaris and mountain expeditions, and developed strong interests in sustainable tourism as well as eco-tourism. In order to fulfill his interests Walter attended a wildlife conservation college in Tanziania and received his Certification for Wildlife Management. After college Walter went to work for the Tanzania National Park Service as a Park Ranger and guide. Walter's responsibilities as a Park Ranger and guide ranged from guiding tourist to protecting wildlife from poachers.

SHAWN MIYA - Director of Finance and Booking

Shawn Miya holds a Bachelors of Environment Science from Ball State University. She has 10 years of experience as an Environmental Scientist in the United States and taught HIV/AIDS classes to secondary schools in Tanzania.

JERRY SHIELDS - Director of Marketing and Technology

Jerry Shields is the President of Marketing and Technology. Jerry has an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture and a minor in natural resources. He is interested in master planning, urban design, sustainability, conservation and the relationship we have with our environment, wildlife and sustainability. Jerry also enjoys graphic design, web development and computer programming and has a masters degree in computer science.

ROY  MIYA- Branch Manager Tanzania, East-Africa

He is a license guide in Tanzania and he attend the different course for Wildlife and rescue for the mountain climber with National Outdoor Leadership School (www.nols.edu). He is qualified for mountain and game drive guide in East Africa. A lot of experience in wildlife for more than ten years.He speaks English, Spanish and French.
