Walter and Roy,
I want to express to you what a wonderful experience I had with Safari Arts Expeditions on my trip to Tanzania. The physical struggle of climbing on Mt. Meru, the exhiliration of reaching the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and the awe of viewing wild animals upclose on the Plains of the Serengeti made this "the trip of a lifetime". Roy, your coordination of getting everyone to the right place at the right time made everything run smoothly and enhanced our enjoyment of the experience. And, your knowledge of the animals and birds made the safari a learning experience. With your help, I photograghed and IDed 38 species of birds, and I don't even consider myself to be a birder. Some of my other animal photos that you set up for us are better than anything I have ever done, like the male lion that posed for us, the leopard on the tree limb, and the cheetah stalking the impalas. Walter, your experience as a mountain ranger was very helpful; we got the red carpet treatment on Mt. Meru. Certainly a highlight of the experience was the quality of the guides, cooks, and porters that you hired, especially to get us three "old" people to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We could not have made it without them and their knowledge and encouragement. And, the food, especially the soups, on the mountain was better than anywhere else in Tanzania. When I came off that mountain, I told myself, "I am glad I did that, but I will never do it again". Now I am ready to do it again. I would recommed Safari Arts Expeditions to anyone going to Tanzania and hope to be back there with them myself.
